Recovery Coaching

Recovery coaching is practical, day-to-day support from a credentialed professional for the months after treatment, when what was learned inside has to hold up outside.

We work with individuals and families nationwide from our base in Charleston, South Carolina.

Treatment is the beginning

Finishing treatment matters. It is also only the start. The return to everyday life is where the trouble shows up, and without steady support even strong progress can slip.

A recovery coach gives your loved one structure and guidance through that stretch.

Support in real life

Recovery does not happen in a controlled setting. It happens on a Tuesday afternoon. Our coaches work with people to:

  • Keep what was gained in treatment
  • Handle triggers and hard moments as they come
  • Build routines and healthy habits
  • Get through everyday situations sober
  • Stay accountable and keep moving forward

We meet people where they are and help recovery take hold where they live.

The family is part of it

Coaching centers on the individual, but recovery touches everyone. We help families get clear on expectations, communication, and boundaries so home is a place recovery can hold.

What coaching is, and is not

Coaching is not therapy. It is support after treatment, focused on sobriety and on applying what was learned to build a stable life. Families who need more coordination across several providers should look at Collaborative Continuing Care.

Getting started

If you or someone you love is leaving treatment and needs more support than a phone number, coaching can keep progress moving.

Questions families ask

What does a recovery coach do?

A credentialed professional who is not a therapist, and who helps someone stay sober and handle real life after treatment: routines, triggers, decisions, and follow-through.

Is coaching the same as therapy?

No. Coaching is practical support in daily life. It often runs alongside therapy and other care, and never replaces it.

When does someone need a coach?

Right after treatment, in early recovery, or any time more structure and support are needed to keep progress going.
